Camp Takodah

Known for our beautiful waterfront and fantastic staff, Takodah is one of New England's classic YMCA Resident Camps. Children have enjoyed Takodah camping programs on the shores of Cass Pond since 1921.

Though much has changed over those 80 summers, our essence remains intact: providing high quality camp programs driven by the needs of youth.

We have a long and rich history, deep traditions, and a program based on giving youth the skills to build friendships with integrity. Our classic two-week sessions emphasize growth through cabin living, building rich friendships, using the imagination, and YMCA character development.

The full range of camp activities includes swimming, boating, sailing, windsurfing, hobbies, crafts, performing arts, high ropes course, nature, archery, riflery, and special events. We also offer a one-week introductory "Mini Camp," a coed introduction to overnight camp for 7 - 10 year olds.

Adventure Camp programs offer wilderness and travel experiences throughout New England for teens. Summer ends with one week of Family Camp at the end of August.
